| George served in the Canadian Army, Royal Engineers, in Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. On his return to Canada he was a civilian employee of the Dept. of National Defense. In 1947 he went to work for Canadian Canners in Niagara on the Lake. When that factory closed he transferred to their plant in St. Davids and remained there until shortly before his death. He is buried in Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. |
