This photo of Old Bob was taken in 1967 during Canada's Centennial year. Canada was 100 years old and the top hat and suit I am wearing in that photo were 125 years old. Old Bob is actually Robert Haines, born in Sandy, Bedfordshire, England. I was 81 years of age in January 2000 and as a challenge I decided to create a web page. I registered the domain, "oldbob.com", and proceeded from there. At my age this is quite a challenge. I am much more at ease building, upgrading or repairing a computer than I am with HTML language. However I shall persevere.
I set up the site mainly to help in my research into our family history but as I gain more knowledge of programming I shall probably expand into other fields.
