| Notes for Owen McGarvey |
Sometime between 1845-1850 Owen & Mary immigrated to New Brunswick with their four children, John, James, Mary, and RosAnn. In 1850 Owen purchased a 100
acre tract of land at Prince William Parish, York County, N.B. Records show
the land was purchased from Sarah Parks for "Five pounds of Lawful Money of
New Brunswick" payable by labour. Owen's brother James purchased a fifty acre
tract of adjacent land at the same time as Owen made his purchase. |
